Following administration of Rompun, animals should, whenever possible, be placed in a quiet and comfortable environment.

Gastric evacuation in the cat: in cases of poisoning or where insufficient fasting of the animal is suspected prior to anaesthesia, gastric evacuation is achieved with an emetic dose of Rompun by IM or SC injection:
1 - 2 mg/kg BW Rompun.
Vomiting in the cat (sometimes observed after intramuscular injection of Rompun) may be avoided by injecting 0.01 mg/kg glycopyrrolate intramuscularly 15 minutes before administering Rompun, or by injecting Rompun intravenously.
