Rompun: Precisely-determined dosages ensure reliability – whatever the animal.

Following administration of Rompun, animals should, whenever possible, be placed in a quiet and comfortable environment.

Rompun in sole application.

Use of Rompun alone for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and minor surgery (with or without local anaesthesia); Rompun can be used alone for clinical sedation:

Clinical sedation: Rompun
1-3 mg/kg BW of dogs and
cats IV or IM

Gastric evacuation in the cat: in cases of poisoning or where insufficient fasting of the animal is suspected prior to anaesthesia, gastric evacuation is achieved with an emetic dose of Rompun by IM or SC injection:
1 - 2 mg/kg BW Rompun.
Vomiting in the cat (sometimes observed after intramuscular injection of Rompun) may be avoided by injecting 0.01 mg/kg glycopyrrolate intramuscularly 15 minutes before administering Rompun, or by injecting Rompun intravenously.
